Loss & Light looked at stories of members who glorified God in their sorrow
By Samaritan staff · Feb 26, 2026
As a way to honor the sanctity of life in January, Samaritan Ministries published a series of stories called Loss & Light. The posts featured members who have walked through the deep sorrow of losing an infant or child, or who face infertility. In the midst of their grief, they have chosen to glorify Christ, allowing His light to shine through their suffering.
Here are links to each of those posts for your convenience and inspiration:
- Emily Ibrahim publicly shares her infertility story to help other women find hope when all feels lost.
- Two miscarriages opened member Natalie Williams’ eyes to true healing.
- Jacklyn DeGraff-Cipriani kept seeing rainbows after two miscarriages and then had a rainbow baby named Noa-Grace.
- Lindsay and Jonathan Betz’s faith deepened despite the loss of their son, Tyler, to cancer.
- Infertility drew Olivia Giles closer to God and allowed her to reclaim her identity in Him.
