You are active participants in your health care

One of our goals as communicators at Samaritan Ministries is to equip our readers and members with stories that will help them make informed decisions for their family’s health and wellbeing.
In March we shared content that we hope helps readers see themselves as active participants in their care.
- We shared an article about non-invasive prenatal testing, which many find to be a scary or confusing topic.
- We also shared health care insights from a conversation with Dr. Matthew Abraham, co-founder of Veritas Surgery. He believes in putting the patient first and allowing them to make informed decisions for their care.
- We also shared practical information on habits that can improve your daily life. This includes getting a good night’s sleep, adding dates to your diet, and chair workouts.
- We gave tips to new gardeners, which can be a great family activity and provide fresh food for years to come.
- We shared information about an app that can help you sleep with spiritual healing.
The final installment in our Loss & Light series highlights a couple who, through their own experience with infertility, are trusting God's timeline and are helping others with their own similar struggles. This series of stories remind us that care goes beyond the physical, that the Lord is near, and that He has good purposes beyond what we see and experience.
Samaritan Ministries members have been sharing one another’s burdens for more than three decades now. This roundup of stories reflects that same focus—encouraging informed care, daily stewardship of our health, and hope rooted in Christ. It’s an honor to walk alongside our members as we learn, grow, and trust in God together.
