Why SMI? David Droll put his 'money where my mouth is'

By Kathryn Nielson  ·  Mar 23, 2023

David Droll of Hope Beyond Bridges joined Samaritan Ministries to “put my money where my mouth is.”

He chose Samaritan for his health care needs in 2016 after years of health insurance through employment in the medical field.

“For me it was the fact that my money was supporting things I don’t agree with,” David says.

He looked into other health care sharing ministries but ultimately chose Samaritan because of its sharing setup.

He and his family are relatively healthy, but David was hit pretty hard by COVID-19 last year and ended up with COVID-fatigue syndrome.

“In battling through all of that, Samaritan members have taken care of us the whole way,” David said.
