Writers Guidelines

The purpose of the Samaritan Ministries International (SMI) Christian Health Care Newsletter is to foster Christian community by inspiring, educating, and connecting our members. We evaluate proposed articles for the newsletter based upon how well they support these three objectives. In general, every article should achieve at least two of the three.

Areas of Interests

  • Biblical teaching: These articles encourage readers in their walk with the Lord, using biblical references. The teaching must fall within the Samaritan Ministries’ statement of faith.
  • Health care: These articles focus on the economics and freedom of health care.
    • The content must not favor one political party over another.
  • Health: These articles focus on health information that:
    • Have a Biblical worldview (no abortion, fetal stem cells, gender dysphoria, etc.)
    • Must provide sources
    • Make no extravagant promises of healing
    • Have been demonstrated to be reliable by third parties
    • Help members to take charge of their health decisions.
  • Pro-life: These articles educate about new pro-life efforts, whether involving babies, the elderly, people with disabilities, foster parenting, adoption, the terminally ill, expecting and new mothers, single mothers, caretakers for the terminally ill, etc.
  • Financial stewardship: These articles provide help to members on being good stewards of their resources as members of a health care sharing ministry.
  • Personal health experiences.
