Member Spotlight: Ryan Bradbury of Ready to Rise and Be the Gift

Joining Samaritan Ministries wasn’t a leap for Ryan Bradbury and his wife, Tanya. It was a natural step. Already familiar with the health care sharing model, they found it was the perfect fit with his self-employed status.

Samaritan was the one health care sharing ministry that offered a different approach to sharing one another’s burdens.

“We were like ‘wow, you’re writing a check directly to the person’ and that appealed to us,” Ryan said.

It was also a “no-brainer” to become a member, he said.

“We thought if we’re going to put our money into something, why not share it with another believer?” he said. “Like, why wouldn’t we share our money into something like another person. It’s a great opportunity.”

Later, when Ryan joined Samaritan as a staff member, he saw its core values were lived out firsthand.

“I saw the level of accountability and integrity with the whole process,” he said.

And Samaritan is another way for the Bradburys to live out their faith and values as well. Every Share they send is an act of compassionate service.

“Every time we send a Share, it’s like ‘Man, this is cool,’” he said. “It’s meeting this person’s need.”
