Jim Kreid’s original reason for joining Samaritan Ministries was to save money on health care, but, he said, “I have fallen in love with your mission.”
“I really feel like you are doing the same kind of thing I’m doing,” Jim said, referring to his Solid Rock Retirement Strategies investment firm, which focuses on biblically responsible investments. “You’re offering something different from the world’s (health care) system.”
When considering whether to join, Jim and his wife, Jill, hesitated.

“I just remember praying about it, and I distinctly heard God ask me, ‘If you say you trust Me with everything, are you not going to trust Me with your health care?’”
Samaritan members have come through for the Kreids on several needs, including a “fluctuating stroke” that Jim had as well as appendicitis.
The sharing went well.
“I love getting those checks with those notes,” Jim said. “I just love the community.”
