'We reread the cards when it's a tough day'

In December I was telling a friend about Samaritan and what a blessing it is that our monthly check goes directly to people, and that we send an encouraging note and pray for the families. “Honestly,” I said, “would you rather trust an insurance company or the Body of Christ?” Later I wondered to myself how it would actually work if we had a need. Well, God answered my question in January when my wife was suddenly in the emergency room. I called Samaritan and the gentleman who answered prayed with me and for my wife. Three surgeries later the bills are being paid in a timely manner, and in most cases we enjoy a significant discount, to the benefit of the members. I must say the notes of encouragement and prayers are the greatest gift. Our family room is lined with cards and we reread them when it’s a tough day. We know God’s got this!
