TN pregnancy center director backs Morning Center

Laura Messick, executive director of the Pregnancy Support Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, had this to say about the Morning Center, Samaritan Ministries’ effort to establish a full-service, charitable maternity hospital:

As a founding member and executive director of our local Pregnancy Support Center, one of our constant challenges is in dealing with all of the follow up issues that arise with our clients. As a non-profit, our resources are limited, and we rely heavily upon community agencies to fill in the gaps, and to provide our clients with the next step of care that is needed. I am therefore extremely encouraged and excited by the concept of The Morning Center. To think that we could immediately refer our clients to a place where she would receive not only excellent medical care, but care for her soul and spirit as well, would be a tremendous blessing. I strongly believe that the pro-life community, and all of the different facets of that community, must represent our Lord and His mercy and compassion to the best of our ability, and not rely only on whatever the government is willing to provide for our client’s care. If we as the body of Christ on earth are not willing to do all that we can to bring a Godly standard of excellence to the total care of our clients, then we are failing to truly represent our Lord as we should. I am excited about the possibilities that The Morning Center will bring to our community and look forward to partnering with them to further advance the cause of life, hope and the unconditional love of Christ in our community.
