“As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear Him.”

Our heavenly Father is like a compassionate earthly father. He forgives our sins—He does not give us what we deserve. He doesn’t always give us everything we want; He only gives us what will be good for us.
We earthly fathers do this imperfectly—partly because our knowledge is limited, partly because we don’t always do what we know is right, and partly because we sometimes don’t have the resources to do everything we would like to do for our children.
Our heavenly Father is perfect. His knowledge is unlimited. His resources are unlimited. He always does what is right and what works for good for His children.
