The Doorpost: Woke or awake?

Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10

In Isaiah 41:10, God promises His people that He will strengthen us, help us, and uphold us with His “righteous right hand.” In Isaiah 41:11-13, He goes on to say:

Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish. You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all. For I the Lord your God, hold your right hand. It is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

The night before His crucifixion, Jesus told His disciples, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33b).

In the midst of the turmoil that surrounds us, Jesus is with us. He will strengthen us, help us, and uphold us with His righteous right hand. He will defeat our enemies who are opposed to Him.

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control” (2 Timothy 1:7).

He is with us and in us.

Fear not.
