The Doorpost: Take the narrow way that leads to life

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.”

Matthew 7:13-14

It’s natural to want to go with the flow and take the path of least resistance. But what is easy can be a trap. It can lead to destruction.

Jesus tells us that taking the path to destruction is easy. We won’t be going against the flow. We will have a lot of company.

Doing the right thing is not easy. The way is narrow, and it is hard. It can be lonely, but it leads to life.

Take the narrow way.
