The Doorpost: More than conquerors

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? … No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us.

Romans 8:35,37

Jesus Christ did not promise His followers that life would be easy and free from hardship. He promised that nothing can separate us from His love.

Christians suffer many of the same things that unbelievers experience. In fact, sometimes the hardships may be even worse, because believers suffer for the sake of Christ.

But Christians have one big advantage—no matter what we face, we are conquerors through the love of Christ. Every challenge we face is an opportunity to grow in Him and bring glory to Him.

When followers of Jesus Christ suffer even the most severe hardship, there is one thing we can be certain of—we are not cut off from His love.

Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Nothing.
