The Doorpost: He will protect us

Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows My name.
When he calls to Me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.
Psalm 91:14-15

We live in turbulent times, with uncertainty, threats, and dangers all around us. What can we do? We can call to our Lord. We can hold fast to Him in love. He has promised to protect us.

This does not mean there will never be difficulty. It does not mean we will never suffer harm. We can look at the lives of saints in the Bible. We can look at the lives of fellow saints throughout the history of the Church and in our world today. We can look at the life of our Lord Himself, when He was on earth.

When we call to Him, holding fast to Him in love, He will keep us in His love. He will protect us from being separated from His love. He will make sure that anything that happens to us will accomplish His good purposes for us. We are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us (Romans 8:31-39).

When troubles come, call to Him and hold fast to Him. He is interceding for us.
