What we believe about Jesus Christ is of critical importance. There are people who claim to believe in God, but when you ask them about Jesus Christ, they say, “He was a good man,” or “He was a great teacher”—nothing more.
The Bible does not give us this option. The passages above, and many others throughout the Bible, tell us that it was the plan of God the Father for all the fullness of the Godhead to dwell in the person of Jesus Christ. In Genesis, when we read, “In the beginning God created …,” we are reading about the work of God the Son creating all things. The ministry of God the Holy Spirit directs our attention to Jesus Christ. Any belief system about God that is not primarily focused on the person and work of Jesus Christ is not true.
