The Doorpost: Do you love God? Here’s a test

If anyone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God Whom he has not seen
1 John 4:20
Do you love God? There is a simple way to tell. Do you love your brother?
Our love for our brother, the one we love the least, is an indication of our love for God. Do you hope the best for your brother, or do you hope that he will “get what he deserves?”
Earlier in this chapter, we are told that “Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” The more we know God, the more we become like Him, loving our brother.
Do you love your brother? Do you know God?
