The December Doorpost: ‘Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father’
By Ray King · Dec 03, 2012
“Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.”
John 14:9b
At this time of year when we focus on the arrival of Jesus Christ on the earth as a human child, it is still important to remember exactly Who was arriving. “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe by the Word of His power” (Hebrews 1:3). When He entered the world as a human, He was entering His own creation over which He has complete authority.
“No one has ever seen God; the only God, Who is at the Father’s side, He has made Him known” (John 1:18). If we want to know God, we must know Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ and the Father are One (John 10:30).
We can know the Father by knowing Jesus Christ. Remember to thank Him for revealing Himself.
