Samaritan remains open and ready to serve you

Samaritan Ministries President Ted Pittenger shares an update on COVID-19 and how Samaritan Ministries is open and ready to serve you! With 90% of our staff transitioned to working remote, we are fully complying with medical and governmental recommendations during this public health event and are doing our part to ensure the health and safety of our staff and reduce potential exposure to COVID-19.

Ted explains the telemedicine options available through eDocAmerica on Samaritan members’ online Dashboard. eDocAmerica recommends the following:

  • If you need to talk to someone right away about your medical care, including questions related to COVID-19, call the FREE 24/7 Nurse Advice Line. This free telephone call will connect you with nurses trained to help you evaluate your health concerns and determine next steps. They are available 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.
  • If you don’t have an urgent question, then use the FREE “Email a Medical Professional” option. These doctors are also able to answer your medical questions, including those related to COVID-19, and help you determine your next steps.
  • If you are sick and likely in need of a prescription, use the $25 (Fee Waived!) “Call a Doctor” option to avoid a trip to the doctor’s office. We are excited to announce that the $25 fee to use this service has been waived until May 31st.

Finally, Ted asks Samaritan members to help other members who are financially affected by COVID-19. You can donate via Secure-Q using the “Disaster Relief – Power to Act” option. 100% of these donations will go to members who are financially hurting during this extreme time in our nation. Your generosity can make a significant difference in the lives of your brothers and sisters in Christ!
