Receive peace from Jesus regardless of times of tribulation

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27

When Jesus returned to heaven, He did not leave us alone. He left us Someone to be with us and live in us—His Holy Spirit. Through Him we can have peace.

The world gives us tribulation, not peace, so we do not automatically experience the peace Jesus gives us. Our hearts can be troubled and fearful when we see what the world is giving us. We must decide what we allow to fill our hearts.

“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace … (T)ake heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).

Regardless of the tribulation we see around us, Jesus has overcome the world. His peace is there when we receive it through the Holy Spirit.
