Noteworthy: This is not our 'forever state'

Isn’t it comforting to know that our current state is not our forever state?
Because we live in a fallen world, things don’t always work perfectly. Relationships need mending. Disasters occur. Whether it’s a stress headache or a brain tumor, our very bodies malfunction. But because of what Jesus has already accomplished, this current state is not our forever state.
Christ promises in Revelation 21:4 that “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” There will be a day when death and all mourning, hurt, and pain will be “former things.” We will be eternally healed. This is a promise from God’s Word and one that I pray brings you hope in your current circumstances. While we aren’t there yet, God graciously gives us one another to help bear these burdens. What a kind and caring God we serve!
