Noteworthy: new and old

It’s the beginning of a new year and the beginning of a new phase in the Samaritan Ministries Christian Health Care Newsletter, but we have the same old challenges: a broken world with a broken health care system.

And, thanks to Jesus Christ and the Word of God, we are up to the task of redeeming health care in very practical ways, some of which are outlined in this issue:

  • Board of Directors member Mark Blocher offers guidance on how we can turn our local churches into places of medical healing.
  • Matt Larson details his journey, in our Member Spotlight, to leading the Morning Center, which helps pregnant moms in need find quality maternity care.
  • Anthony Hopp guides us on how to pray the armor of God described by the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians as we each face challenges.

Jesus told us not to be afraid, as Ray King reminds us in this month’s Doorpost. Our Lord will always provide a way for us to do His will.

So, let’s go.
