Noteworthy: Return to prayer, Scripture, fellowship with Jesus

For many of us, September marks a season of return—back to school, back to structure, back to routine. After the looseness of summer, we find ourselves reentering the hustle. Spiritually, this is a powerful moment to reflect on our own return—not just to the grind, but to our first love.
In Revelation 2:4–5 (NIV), Jesus speaks to the church in Ephesus: “Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.” These words call us to remember and return to the passion of our early walk with Jesus.
As we sharpen pencils, establish routines, and reset calendars, let’s also reset our hearts. Let’s return to prayer, to Scripture, to intimate fellowship with Jesus—not as mindless habits, but out of a fervent love for Christ. Let this season be more than routine; let it be revival. May we not just go back to busyness but back to the One who first called us.
