More Needs than Shares in Samaritan Classic: Prorating this month

Because of a trend of more Needs than Shares in Samaritan Classic, Needs in Samaritan Classic with less than 20 percent in discounts will be prorated in May 2020. Needs in Samaritan Basic and bills in Samaritan Given have not been prorated.

The trend of increasing Needs in Samaritan Classic indicates that the Board could call for a vote on increasing the Shares for members in the Samaritan Classic sharing program in the coming months. The Board is exploring new strategies to keep an upcoming Share increase as manageable as possible, and will be considering possible Guidelines changes related to the initial unshareable amount and prorating. Please pray for the Board and executive team as they consider how to lead the ministry in this challenging environment with steadily rising health care costs.
