Member Monday: If you’re with Samaritan, that’s OK

Sometimes, it’s tough to get the week going in a good direction, so we offer Member Monday. Each Monday, we’ll post an encouraging note from a Samaritan member to help us remember how blessed we all are to have our health care needs shared among the Body of Christ.

I just wanted to let you know that the other day I was visiting with my midwife. She asked me if I was still part of Samaritan, and she was very glad when I said, “yes.” She has seen Samaritan in action over the years and has been very impressed, especially with the management of it. … We figured out my payment date which isn’t too far away and she said, “Well, if you are with Samaritan, it’s OK if it’s a little late, I know they [the members] are good for it.”

I also had the opportunity to explain how Samaritan works to another midwife who was in the room who does a lot of business with the Amish and is now able to practice and do homebirths independent of the clinic she had been part of. Good things could come from this.

Go ahead and pass this on to whomever may need a little dose of encouragement today! Well done Samaritan Ministries! You have earned a great reputation and are doing a wonderful job! Keep it up and God Bless!!
