Member messages: 'The cards and notes have blessed and encouraged us'

I love having Samaritan Ministries to help in a time of need. The notes of encouragement from brothers and sisters in the faith—all strangers to me—were most encouraging and gave me reason to stop whatever I was doing and give our LORD Jesus praise, often with tears. Financial sharing is of course most necessary. Thanks everyone for your participation in this wonderful Christian resource. John, Arizona

We have seen big changes over the last several months—new job, building a house, and the beginning of a new school year for our children—and we have watched God provide with each step. We are so thankful to be a part of Samaritan. The community that is created, prayer requests shared, and the love of Christ exhibited between members is astounding. This was the first need that our family had submitted, which was a bit overwhelming at first, but every time I contacted Samaritan for information or guidance, I was met with kindness and patience. The prayers by the staff brought me to tears. Even though I struggled with all the numbers, it was so refreshing to be reimbursed for much more than I expected. We knew the Lord would provide. We love knowing that our monthly Shares go directly to another family or individual who is also trusting the Lord as well as giving to other members to meet their needs. It has been about 20 years since we sent in a request for a medical need. At the time we were on the mission field with almost no income. Samaritan Ministries assistance has been wonderful, but what has surprised me most is how much the cards and notes have blessed and encouraged us. What a difference that has made.
