Member messages: Jesus never forsakes you

My injury has provided me with a lot of alone time with my Lord and Savior. It is so easy to just go about our day-to-day activities and lose sight of how dependent we truly are on Him, as well as those here on earth He has surrounded us with. He taught me that self-reliance is meaningless in your true time of need and that He truly never does leave you or forsake you. I am so grateful for His guidance for me, as well as for my husband, Chris, during this time when he had to become our all in all while I lay back helpless to do anything even for myself. It made our marriage stronger and our goals more aligned. God was so merciful in healing. The prayerfulness of so many on my behalf was evident.
I also want to express how comforting it is to be a member of Samaritan Ministries. After always being in health insurance, which dictates every aspect of your care, Samaritan provided choice in every decision. It allowed me to choose options that are aligned with my beliefs and allowed me to seek care through providers that align in like manner. Health care is very intimidating, and this took many of my fears away. It has meant so much knowing there are believers behind the scenes praying for me and caring for my financial needs during this difficult and stressful time.

We have been extremely blessed to be members of Samaritan Ministries since 2017. It has been a blessing to be able to give to other members with their Needs and to be able to pray for them as well. God has been so faithful, and I am forever grateful for all He has done, and all that the staff at Samaritan Ministries, as well as the members, have helped us with.
This year I have found myself on the receiving end. I was faced with a collapsed lumbar disc with extreme sciatic nerve pain and numbness in my left foot. I am so thankful to Samaritan Ministries for being there. They were so helpful with the process of starting the Need and assured me it would be shared. What a relief to know we would not have to carry the burden by ourselves. The kind words and prayers of the staff before surgery meant more than they will ever know.
It is also comforting to know that other believers are standing with us in prayer and are there to support us when we go through these difficult times.
Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement through cards. I have hung them up on a beam in my dining room as a daily reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness and His love extended through you. God bless you and this wonderful ministry with all He has in store for you.
