Member messages: 'Grateful for how the Lord works'

Both my husband and I had surgery in May. It was a major deal as he had a shunt installed in his brain and I had a meniscus tear repaired in my knee. Through all the expenses of two surgeries for people in their 70s, we have felt love, support, and prayers as people from all over the country sent Shares to help us. We are so very grateful for how the Lord works through the Body of Christ. The staff at Samaritan has been most gracious with our questions and very efficient at processing our needs in a timely manner.

Dear Samaritan Ministries, we have been blessed because of you and all the beautiful members. Although we try to pay our own bills, this rare disease is becoming more costly, and we cannot bear the cost alone. Using the website and phone calls to staff along with their prayers, we are grateful for the efficiency of Samaritan, and it is done with such grace. From this experience we have come to appreciate and empathize with those who have medical needs and praise our Great Physician. Considering the number of years of our membership and our large family, we have had surprisingly few needs submitted, but all of that changed last year. While we appreciate being a part of Samaritan Ministries because they align with biblical principles, I have often wondered how people manage all the additional administrative tasks surrounding health care billing during a health crisis. Last year I got to walk through that month after month. As always, God has shown His faithfulness. Another blessing is knowing that this ministry does not support unbiblical surgeries and health care. May God continue to be glorified through this ministry.

We lost our home to a tornado on May 18. In contacting Samaritan Ministries, we were placed on the Disaster Relief Fund that was extremely helpful to our family.
