Member messages: 'Astounded by generosity'
By Samaritan Ministries members · Jul 02, 2025
We have been astounded by the generosity and kindness we have experienced these last few months. The checks, letters, notes, and especially the prayers, have cheered us on. It was always a family event to sit down and open all the envelopes and take turns reading the notes. This was so much fun. Although God has been teaching us several things, a few that stand out are: When God speaks through His word, I can rest in His promises, and that our tight, stressful timeline, is not His. We need to be patient and wait on His timing. Thank you, Samaritan Ministries, for your patience with our questions and doing work that makes a difference every day. Orpha of Indiana
During this season after back surgery, Samaritan members have truly been an outpouring of love for me. The cards, notes of encouragement, and financial assistance have been the lifeblood for my body and soul. The kindness and empathy in each note have been a daily blessing. The beautiful cards encased in Scripture have been overwhelmingly helpful. The way each member took time to be thoughtful with get-well notes and prayers is like the fragrance of the Holy Spirit settling in. Samaritan Ministries has always been the most common-sense approach to medical care, His Body caring for others. Christine of Montana
This stage of chronic illness (3 years of Lyme and co-infections) has been one of those times I have really questioned “why,” especially after getting treatment we thought was going to help didn’t. When I expressed this to my mother, her reply was the thoughts of Paul in the Bible. He had prayed to be delivered from his thorn in the flesh, but God told him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9a). I must admit that it has been a long struggle, and I get discouraged often, but God has been so good. Samaritan Ministries has been such an outpouring of support, cards, encouragement, and prayers. God provided so much more abundantly than we expected, since it was a Special Prayer Need. We had nearly 550 notes or cards! Thank you so much for your prayers and support. Amaris of Missouri
