Member letter: Thank you, members, for all you have done

Dear Samaritan Ministries,

We have had a miraculous journey with my cancer. When I was diagnosed with abdominal cancer after an emergency surgery and follow-up of a colostomy, I felt overwhelmed. I felt that I was a burden to my husband, Denver, who is a cancer survivor, himself, with some residual health issues. However, from the first call when we spoke to Brian, a Member Advocate, on the phone, I got my hope back! He realized very quickly that we were overstressed, and Brian prayed with us for 15 minutes or so. What a blessing! Denver calmed down, and I received such hope—we could endure, with God’s help, whatever came with the cancer. It was no surprise to our loving heavenly Father. Since that time, I have had five chemo treatments, which I’ve completed successfully with minor side effects, our church family has supplied meals, prayers, and cards, and our Samaritan family has sent checks, cards, notes, and Bible verses of encouragement! Thank you, Samaritan members, for all you have done.

Thank you for this wonderful ministry.
Denver and Mable
