Member letter: Smooth processing of need
By Mike Miller · Jan 23, 2012
From Marvin in Illinois:
Being self-employed, I have spent several years in using insurance to manage the high cost of health needs. We had very few claims through the years with our previous insurance company, but, invariably, the claims were met with resistance or denial of payment for some reason or another.
It is so refreshing to be a part of a Christian group of brothers and sisters who share each other’s needs. It feels good to be able to help others in their time of need. Now the “shoe” is unexpectedly “on the other foot.” First, let me thank you, Samaritan Ministries, for how smooth the processing of a need has been, no hassles. That is a new experience. Second, I am humbled by the notes of encouragement I have received and the support from all over the nation. It is so much more encouraging, so much less stressful, and such a rich blessing—no insurance companies! I just hope and pray that the Federal Health Care law or any other law does not undermine the blessing of what we participate in.
I thank God for you, and I thank God for opening me up to experiencing the joy of an expanded church family—the Body of Christ beyond Milford. Thank you and God bless you.
