Member letter: Sharing answer to health care situation

From Eric and Barbara in Florida:

My husband, Eric, and I were so blessed to receive all of the Special Prayer Need gifts this past month. We have been struggling so much with our finances and job changes that the extra burden of extensive and required dental work had us overwhelmed. Receiving cards, letters, prayers, well wishes, and a variety of poems, tracts, and Bible verses from all over the U.S., including Hawaii and Puerto Rico, made us feel and know how far the arms of the Lord reach. We ask His special blessing on those who sent us these gifts as they truly help to lift a little bit of our burden. Although it didn’t come near to the size of our need, we are grateful for God’s provisions and unfailing love. We praise His holy Name.

Samaritan is truly the answer to our health care crisis, and the U.S. government can learn a lot from you. We have also realized the importance of sending a little extra each month to meet the Special Prayer Needs requests. Many times in the past we felt we just didn’t have the extra to send but now, having seen what a blessing it can be, we will forgo other things to find this money. Especially after receiving a small gift from a couple apologizing for its size because they were waiting until next month’s sale of a cow to meet their needs, yet they still sent us something. They are now dear to our hearts as we lift them in prayer, and we would love to be able to bless them someday in return if the good Lord sees fit to bless our income.

I also want to add that the witness these gifts provide for God’s goodness and the goodness of His people was a shock and a wonder to our mailman, family, friends, doctors and office staff, as well as the bank tellers as we got to share the receipt of the mail and gifts from all over the U.S. We are praying for many members to join us. Thank you Samaritan Members for being there in our time of need. God bless!
