In Prayer: Give thanks for the Word Who dwelt among us
By Samaritan Staff · Dec 19, 2012
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1, 14
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). The Word was with God in the beginning, before the world was created. In fact, He created the world (Colossians 1:3). The Word was with God, separate and distinct, but also the Word was God, in essence and substance. It is this Word Who took on flesh (John 1:14). He is the absolute source of all life—physical and spiritual (John 1:4). Life was in Him and brought light to a dark world. All who receives Him and believes in His Name become children of God.
The Word, Jesus Christ, became flesh so we could see His glory, the glory of Jesus, full of grace and truth. Give thanks this Christmas season for the glory God has allowed you to see.
