God used Samaritan for 'much needed provision'
By Samaritan Ministries members · Jun 15, 2026
We thank God for Samaritan Ministries! Joshua and I have been under much stress with medical issues arising in our children, in my pregnancies, and with a stroke I had while pregnant in 2024. We continue to give faithfully to our church, but the financial strain has been increasing. God has used Samaritan to bring us much needed provision and, with that, peace and assurance that we can trust Him with our children, our health, our needs, and our finances.

Broken leg requiring surgery shared with members
My family has been members of Samaritan Ministries since 2021, but thankfully until August 2025, never had to submit a need. In August 2025, I broke my left humerus while roller-skating with my daughter. It was a splintered break that went all the way down into the joint capsule. The break required surgery. I contacted Samaritan Ministries and got help to start my need and to find out what portion of the surgery could be shared with other members. Everyone—and I do mean everyone—I have spoken to at Samaritan concerning this need has been kind, professional and shown the love of Christ. I cannot praise or thank them enough. When you are going through something with your health, there can be a lot of concerns. I truly was ministered to. Thank you for faithfully being the hands and feet of Christ to me during this time.

'The Body of Christ stands with us'
It is difficult to put into black and white the profound spiritual blessings this ministry has been to us. It has provided for us financially, helping to pay medical costs for our health care over the years in ways we could not have expected. But most profoundly, knowing the Body of Christ stands with us, praying, giving, loving us through our present trials is more glorious a gift to our very souls.
Joining Samaritan Ministries and joining Christ’s Church to share medical burdens has been one of the best decisions our family has ever made.

Grateful for prayers against her cancer
We are grateful to all who sent us extra money through the Special Prayer Need to help with my medical expenses. We are blessed by all of you who have been praying for my healing of cancer and for God to supply for all of our needs. We are grateful for this one-of-a-kind ministry. It’s so encouraging to get a note with words I usually need to hear to encourage me to keep fighting to regain my health.

Prayers for need 'biggest blessing of all'
We have always been blessed to be able to give to others in their need, so it is somewhat awkward to be on the receiving end. While God has blessed me with an encouraging diagnosis, our biggest blessing is all the notes received of folks praying for God’s best for me through this journey. It’s so good to be a part of Samaritan Ministries.

Cards and notes encouraging for member with need
I have been very blessed by being a member of Samaritan Ministries. The caring cards and notes from other members that they include with their Shares have been so encouraging. They express love and care and say that they’ve prayed for me after the loss of my husband this June. Also, when I’ve talked to people at Samaritan, they’ve prayed with me several times and it was wonderful. Thank you so much! It helps me to know that I’m a part of a large family of the Lord.

Member loved the 'freedom to choose' treatment
When I was diagnosed with cervical degenerative disc disease last April, I was faced with decisions regarding surgery or therapy. Samaritan’s staff was wonderful. They prayed with me and provided perspective and insight. We prayed with our family and decided to take the therapy. What I loved was that we had the freedom to choose, knowing that Samaritan members would help with expenses either way. I cannot be more pleased with how everything has worked together for good. The notes and checks were a blessing that encouraged us and helped set things right financially. I hope that someday ministry sharing will be the normal path for health care. It is truly the best!
