Alabama members delivered from tornado

Samaritan Ministries members Gary and Phyllis Liverett, shown above, escaped the ordeal of living through one of the tornadoes that swarmed through Alabama on April 27 when Gary went to the hospital earlier that day with chest pains and a drastically slowed heart rate.
Later that evening, after stents were inserted into his arteries, Gary and Phyllis watched news reports on a hospital TV about a twister plowing through the Ragland area, where their ministry, Alpha Ranch, for young men is located.
The camp was destroyed, but their family, boys at the ranch, and several neighbors survived by going to the basement of their daughter’s and son-in-law’s house. Canceled checks belonging to the Liveretts ended up dozens of miles away in northwest Georgia.
We praise God for the Liveretts’ deliverance, but pray for them as they face the tough task of rebuilding.
