- Take or make work calls on a cell phone by using an ear bud and walking outside.
- Get up and walk during work meetings when you don’t have to sit at your computer.
- Walk for 10 to 15 minutes with your spouse in the evening.
- Go for a walk in the morning while waiting for coffee to brew.
- Take your kids on a walk in the mornings.
- Walk with your family to the park in the evenings.
- Take several 10-minute walk breaks throughout the workday.
- Walk in place while watching TV.
- Take a lap around your building a few times throughout the day.
- Go to the opposite end of your work building for coffee breaks, bathroom breaks, etc.

Ginger shots may offer health benefits
Ginger seems like the root equivalent of a hot pepper, only more palatable. The sharp taste can surprise the unsuspecting consumer. Couple that with the potential health benefits, and it becomes clear why ginger shots have reportedly become popular at juice bars.
Better Report says that ginger offers “a range of health benefits that make it a valuable addition to any wellness regimen.” Some of these benefits include anti-inflammatory properties and help with nausea. But does ginger have immune-boosting properties? Cleveland Clinic says it does! Ginger also is reported to be:
- a digestive aid;
- a pain reliever;
- an agent to lower blood sugar;
- an aid to weight loss;
- and a cholesterol reducer.
As many benefits as ginger has, consuming larger amounts in ginger shots may cause heartburn. So, you may want to dilute the shots.
