V. Amending and Mediating the Guidelines A. Relationship to Basic Guidelines – All provisions of the Basic Guidelines shall apply to SMV unless the SMV Guidelines explicitly provide otherwise. This includes the applicability of the dispute resolution procedures found in Section XII of the CHCN Guidelines. B. Amendment to Guidelines 1. Procedures. Guidelines may be amended by Samaritan Ministries Board of Directors. The Board has the option of first taking an advisory vote of the SMV members. 2. Amendments to SamaritanMV™ Guidelines take effect immediately or as designated by the Board. However, needs which occurred before the change was adopted will be published according to the Guidelines in force on the date of the incident.
