IV. Sharing Procedures Monthly share amounts for SMV will be set at levels believed to be close to the likely amount of qualified SMV needs, and will be adjusted by the board according to the amount of needs submitted. Of course in any one month SamaritanMV™ shares may exceed, or be less than, the amount of vehicle needs, so SMV needs will be subject to pro-rating similar to needs under the Basic Guidelines. A need may sometimes be published by portions in successive months, rather than all in one month, in order to reduce the amount of pro-rating that is necessary. There may also be more frequent changes in the monthly share amount than is typical in the CHCN.
