II. Monthly Need Sharing Amount The monthly share for SMV (as of June 2008), is $15 for couples with children and $10 per household for all others. This monthly amount is subject to change upon approval by the SMI Board of Directors. At least one month’s notice will be given before any increase in the monthly share. Families who cannot afford the monthly share amount may apply for assistance through the SMI sponsorship program. See Basic Guidelines, Section V.C.
