The membership of Samaritan Ministries’ Christian Health Care Newsletter has chosen not to share in needs for members who are injured in accidents where they are the operator or passengers in licensed, motorized vehicles. Those members who would like to share in these needs have the option of joining SamaritanMV™. A member’s SamaritanMV™ (SMV) monthly share will be combined each month with the member’s Christian Health Care Newsletter (CHCN) monthly share so that only one share will need to be sent. Only members of SMV will be assigned to share in SMV needs, but SMV members may be assigned to share with non-SMV members. Records of SMV shares and SMV needs will be maintained so that decisions about pro-rating or changing the monthly shares for CHCN or SMV can be kept separate. I. Participation Requirements for SamaritanMV™ A. Members of SMV must be active members of Samaritan Ministries CHCN. Termination of membership in the basic newsletter ministry will end SMV membership. B. Participation in SMV must be at the same level (single, couple, single-parent family, or two-parent family) as in CHCN. C. An annual SMV administrative fee of $15 (as of October 2007) will be required from each member household participating in SMV. This fee is non-refundable if participation is terminated. D. If you desire to participate in SMV and are financially unable, contact Member Services for information about assistance from fellow SMI members through the Sponsorship program. See Basic Guidelines, Section V.C.
