What's The Cost?


Christian Health Care Newsletter - Regular

Members of the basic ministry agree to share expenses incurred for medical treatments specified in the Membership Guidelines. The amount of the monthly share is based on household size (see chart below), regardless of your medical history, age, or other factor.



Christian Health Care Newsletter - Senior Discount

The monthly shares above are reduced $30 per month for each participating member of the household who is age 65 or older.



Christian Health Care Newsletter - Young Adult/Student at a Christian College

The monthly share is reduced for a young adult and/or a student at a Christian college. This amount applies to a membership where one or both of the heads of household are age 25 or younger, or are a full-time student at a Christian college which holds to a statement of faith consistent with that required of members (see Section I.B of the Guidelines).


Any proposed increase in these amounts is presented to the members for a vote.

There is an annual administrative fee of $170 for each membership.




Save to Share™

Save to Share™ is a ministry for those who wish to share in the medical needs of others members that exceed the $100,000 publishable amount. Save to Share™ members are asked to set aside the designated amount for their household size (see chart below). (They do not send the amount set aside to Samaritan Ministries.) When a Save to Share™ participant has a need that exceeds the $100,000 maximum publishable amount of a regular need, the other Save to Share™ participants will be asked to share from their set aside funds for the amount over $100,000.

Any proposed increase in these amounts is presented to the members for a vote.

The annual administrative is $15 for any size membership.




SamaritanMV™

Most medical needs from accidents involving most motorized vehicles are not publishable in the basic ministry. Members who would like to share in these needs have the option of joining SamaritanMV™. These members share an additional amount each month based on their family size (see chart below) in order to share in medical needs that have resulted from motor vehicle accidents.

The Samaritan Board of Directors is responsible to determine these amounts and may adjust them as needed with a one month notice to the SamaritanMV™ membership. The annual administrative fee for SamaritanMV™ is $15 for any size membership.
